Goal: Adapting a clinic for children within a limited timeframe with a tight deadline, our goal was to renovate the branch and transform the clinic into a child-friendly space.

We refreshed the interior with a special focus on safety, ensuring a welcoming and secure environment for young patients.

The initial concepts

The key design motif is soft, flowing forms. Eliminating sharp edges not only reflects Defactum’s core value of care but also solves essential spatial planning challenges. Rounded corners enhance safety, particularly in hallways, and optimize space efficiency, improving mobility. This approach is especially noticeable around the columns near the walls, where softened edges ensure smoother circulation.

The final design

The building’s original facade was an outdated aluminum composite structure. We gave it a modern upgrade while addressing overheating issues during summer. The new elegant and technologically advanced facade effectively disperses sunlight, reducing energy consumption for cooling.

Additionally, reinforcing the exterior columns increased the facade’s durability while preserving the maximum number of functional rooms inside the clinic.
